The Munich Institute for Astro-, Particle and BioPhysics (MIAPbP) extends its warmest congratulations to Professor Francis Halzen (University of Wisconsin-Madison, USA) on being named this year’s recipient of the prestigious Nobel Prize in Physics.

We are incredibly honored that Professor Halzen will be coordinating MIAPbP’s very first workshop of 2027, "Neutrinos as Cosmic Messengers: A Decade of Discovery and the Path forward," alongside an outstanding team: Maria Petropoulou, Walter Winter, Aart Heijboer, and Elisa Resconi.

The entire MIAPbP community looks forward to welcoming Professor Halzen and celebrating this monumental achievement together!
