External participants can receive a reimbursement of up to EUR 80.00 per day on receipt to cover part of their travel and/or housing costs.

MIAPbP has a limited budget to support the participation of advanced graduate students. This support covers travel costs up to EUR 500.00 and is paid in addition to the regular financial support (up to EUR 80.00/day). Travel support is not granted automatically but is awarded on a competitive basis.
Please note that, under Bavarian travel law, nightly accommodation reimbursements are capped at €120 for Munich and €90 for Garching. These thresholds apply to each individual night and cannot be averaged across a multi-night stay. The MIAPbP staff will do their best to support you and reduce your financial burden.
