b→sℓℓ 2018: 6th Workshop on Rare Semileptonic B Decays

20 - 22 February 2018

David Straub, Thomas Kuhr, Danny van Dyk

This workshop is the sixth in a series of meetings of experts on both experimental and theoretical studies of semi-leptonic flavour-changing neutral current b hadron decays. These processes are among the most sensitive probes of physics beyond the Standard Model. Several intriguing tensions between Standard Model expectations and measurements have been observed in recent years, including hints for violation of lepton flavour universality. These have made this discussion platform on theoretical and experimental issues in b→sll processes all the more important. In 2018, a particular focus lies on the interplay between the successful LHCb experiment, currently taking data at the second run of the Large Hadron Collider, and the upcoming Belle-II super B factory experiment that will have complementary sensitivity due to the exceptionally clean environment of an electron-positron collider.
